Missions

We accept the following statement as scripturally binding upon Christ’s church: "The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded His Church to make disciples of every nation. Every Christian in every local church, in every country of the world, is called upon to be a witness to the saving power of Jesus Christ. No matter who we are and where we are, if we claim Jesus as Lord, God’s good intention for us is that we should proclaim our faith by what we say and how we live."1

The purpose of the Missions Ministry is to keep the fire of missionary vision burning in the hearts of the congregation and to set before the body as a whole and before each member individually the opportunities and obligations of the outreach or missionary aspect of its total ministry.

Some of the outreach opportunities that are a part of the Missions Ministry of Grace Bible Church include:

Neighborhood Outreach
These regularly scheduled outreach events allow us to reach hundreds of homes in our surrounding neighborhoods with the message of the Gospel in written form while extending to them a personal invitation to visit our church services.

Summer Missions Outreach Program
These trips allow multiple small teams to share in the ministry of our supported missionaries and other like-minded missions endeavors, by spending a week or two "in the trenches", sharing the Gospel and proclaiming the glory of God through word and deed.

Prison Outreach
This outreach allows qualified individuals to gain access to the local detention facilities on a regular basis in order to conduct evangelistic services and Bible studies with the inmates. In conjunction with the GBC Tape Ministry, this outreach is poised to expand into a full-fledged correspondence program for discipleship training of inmates who have come to faith in Christ.

Our Supported Missionaries
GBC currently partners with several missionaries for prayer and financial support:

Mark and Debbie Christopher—Mark has been church-planting in South Africa for almost eight years and is currently heading up the Church Ministries Institute in Cape Town as well as pastoring a newly formed church.
Dave and Carol Mikulsky—Dave pastors Grace Bible Church, a church plant in Indiana.
Pablo and Esperanza Ramirez—Pablo pastors a small church in San Quintin, Mexico.
Carlos Montoya - Carlos is a Profesor at MEDA in Honduras and a Pastor of Bethany Baptist in Honduras.
Adrian Donato - Adrian is a Profesor and Dean at MEDA in Honduras.
